Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis). Looks like the theme of this week's posts is going to be #feederbirds! I spent a couple hours at the feeders at @uogarboretum yesterday as the sunny day provided a good opportunity for some bird photography. I didn't realize that I hadn't posted a decent photo of a northern cardinal before, so here we go! This is a female which doesn't show the brilliant red that the males do. 20 January 2018.![]()
